I did once visit the Greenpeace ship, Rainbow Warrior. Not the current ship to bear that name, but it’s predecessor. She was an old Aberdonian trawler, cut down the middle and lengthened to accommodate various fast daughter craft on her main deck, ready for commando-style launching while underway at sea. At that time, around 2009 if I recall correctly, they were primarily concerned with harassing deep-sea drilling rigs, particularly those capable of operating north of the Arctic Circle.
They were a pleasant enough bunch on board. A disproportionate number of female ‘crew’ compared to any normal Aberdeen Trawler, comprised mostly of unpaid ‘volunteers’. You can imagine the type: Trustafarians, every man & woman jack of them. I found this out by asking the normal three questions that every seafarer leads with upon visiting a new vessel. ‘How’s the money, how’s the time off, and how’s the food’? (That was 2009, mind. Now we also ask, do you have Starlink on board yet)?
You knew they were just the narcissistic neglected children of a**hole investment *ankers when they told you: ‘we don’t get paid, we’re all vegan, and time off is a meaningless concept to us rudderless hippies who’ve never had to pay our own way in life and never will’.
‘The cook does still serve meat because the professional marine crew still eat it. But we keep working on them’.
They were all LARPing as rebellious pirates while paying a professional marine crew to actually do the real work for them and transport their soap-dodging souls from rig to rig around the North Sea. The real sailors, who fought long historic legal battles to be entitled to fresh meat guaranteed by International Labour Conventions, were stubbornly unwilling to give up their rights, even if they were willing to never work for an oil major ever again.
The lentil-lovers I met were the embryonic ‘Just Stop Oil’ types you see today. With the glazed eyes, knitted sweater and perma-smile look of the early Eco-Terrorists, they had a proper little cult vibe going on. They had a video of the first Rainbow Warrior vessel being shot and sunk by the French Marines playing on a loop in the wheelhouse. This implied that all visitors to the ship should venerate the sainted sacrifice and marvel at the volunteers’ bravery.
When I asked the bosun (a strapping woman with the garden-fresh ‘borrower-like’ appearance of Kate Humble, and with leathery hands the size of dinner plates) if she didn’t think it a tad hypocritical and self-defeating to traipse all the way up to the Arctic Circle on a diesel-burning ship, coated in oil-based paint, with plastic boats and a medical chest full of helpful things made from plastic, to protest ‘drilling for oil’?
‘It is very important to us, and more important than any hypocrisy, to ‘bear witness’ to the destruction that is being done to our planet’, came the pre-programmed answer.
Bearing witness.
I’ve been doing a lot of that recently.
I last posted on the 20th of October. At that time I was bracing myself for the propaganda storm that would inevitably follow the 7th of October terror attacks in Israel, from my comfortable position on a Norwegian ship working in German waters.
My job there as a Marine Warranty Surveyor was to act as a witness on behalf of insurance underwriters, protecting the interests of the owners of the offshore wind farm turbines, their cables, and associated infrastructure. Nearby, the last vessel I commanded was attending the German port of Lubmin, undertaking repairs to the Nordstream 2 pipeline. Storm Babet was battering the UK, and simultaneously swelling my bank balance with downtime due to weather days – for which I get paid the same as when we’re working hard.
We had perfect internet signal offshore despite the bandwidth being used and abused by surveyors transferring terabytes of data back ashore for processing, and 49 crew streaming Netflix and YouTube to their personal devices. Sadly, this meant I had unrestricted access to witness the unfolding media psyop surrounding the Israel-Gaza war in the Western media.
The perpetuation of ignorance, bigotry, and revolutionary practices. I am experiencing anti-Jewish sentiment directly, and by proxy association with both Jews and the US. By contrast, I’m witnessing people bend over backwards to say that one shouldn’t conflate the actions of Hamas with the Palestinian people or with Muslims in general.
While it is nice to see the apparition of the anti-war left manifest its duodecennial self once more, I seriously doubt their sudden realisation that individual freedom of conscience should be protected from state action will be remembered the next time they want to put my children in debt to pay for their elective abortions, transformer surgeries for toddlers, or PhDs in the history of structural violence embedded in medieval lesbian basket weaving theory.
As long-time readers will remember, I have skin in this game. If Hamas take over the world, even my Muslim family will be in trouble for allowing women to ride bicycles in the decadent West. My wife and kids will face conversion ‘therapy’ of the Gazan variety, witnessed recently on 7th of October. You’re never ‘not Jewish’ enough for some people, as history has taught us.
But on the other hand, if those sneaky Jews take over the world, all of my Scottish family sitting on welfare might have to go and get jobs. So we can’t have that.
But seriously, I’ve been suffering the company of semi-aware political garbage from both English Muslims and German liberals on my last ship, and these interactions are so baseline and tribal it almost made me give up. The fact that nobody can see the blatant manipulation that is being done to them – from all sides – after the past 3, 4 or even 25 years should have made it all so transparent by now.
I realised how bad the situation was when I saw a former friend from primary school posting on Facebook: ‘Share this post on Facebook! Share this meme to show your support for the people of Palestine against Israel! Post and share like never before, as if your life depended on it, because their lives depend on you’!
This comment caused such an epiphany in me, that I literally recoiled from my phone. In that moment I could feel the toxicity coursing through the system. Suddenly Twix, Facebook and even Instagram became so political that I had to delete them all from my phone, because I realised I was being sucked into the new religion of our post covid world. I had to stop the poisoning of my mind.
Even Instagram has betrayed me. I just used to like nice pictures of people’s lunch, or holidays with kids, and DIY tips. Now it’s owned by Feta, or whatever, it’s become as much of a manipulative cess pit as the rest, but with its own language of political iconography.
I deleted all my social media apps two weeks ago, and I have to say, while it has been good for my cortisol levels, I have had to find a substitute addiction in playing Sim City instead. Which, is fun, and only pseudo-political and semi-supporting of globalist concepts.
The detox has done me good. So much good, in fact, I considered abandoning the blog altogether.
However, as often happens when I’m puzzling something out, I had an intervention from a dream. In my dream my family and I were out for a walk in a nice garden, admiring the stars on a clear night, when a baby fell from the sky and landed in a flower bed. The baby looked identical to my nearly three-year-old daughter, but in miniature. She was naked aside from a diaper, and cooing and smiling cutely, but she was less than a quarter of the size of my daughter. Like a little living doll.
My father looked at our loving embrace of this new gift of life from heaven and shook his head in despair. He said ‘No. She won’t survive long. Brain tumours. Look, I’ve seen this before’. He then pointed our attention to her ears. Both her left ear and her right ear were filled with the sort of slimy goo you might expect from the birthing process. My father tried to clear it out with his hands, and shook his saying, ‘It’s no good, she won’t live’.
The dream went into great metaphorical detail, but I’ll spare you the rest. It was that little part that reminded me why I started this little publication, and why I shouldn’t neglect it now. The hope in my dream comes from my father being a postmodernist in real life. A philosophy that I reject for it’s emptiness, despite my respect for it (and my father’s) intellect.
Anyone who reads me is most likely of the opinion that they are being lied to constantly by both the Left, and the Right. That much is a given. But then, what are we leaders and managers to do?
Well, I think clearing the gunk from our children’s ears is a good place to start. If, after all, this world is ending. (Which it surely is), then we need to pack up the ark with the good seeds that we need for the new world. How’s that for a never-ending make-work scheme?
The trap being set with the Gaza war narrative is recognisable to me now in the context of the Covid lies, and the lies around Ukraine. It is clearly evident in the media building up expectations in the popular press that far-right Zionists are likely to cause violence in the capital today, this remembrance Sunday, as the religion of peace shows ‘solidarity’ with the oppressed people of Gaza in London.
The programming language is so clear as to be laughable, and yet people are eating it up. The Alt-Right in particular have sh*t the bed on the propaganda wars, and are lapping up the idea of religious or ethnic civil war in the UK, as a way to express dismay at tory party policy on welfare and immigration.
Israel versus Gaza body count comparisons on the news bear a grim resemblance to the ‘Excess Deaths’ counter that was omnipresent on Western legacy media screens during the covid mania. While the covid infection counter and death counters notably never included a comparison to the ‘number of recovered’ cases, and disappeared as soon as lockdown and vaccine-related injuries started to increase our excess death rate, which is now higher than during the panic. The Gaza-Israel death count implies a sort of DIE equity logic to it. ‘Well you see, now Israel has killed more babies than Hamas, so it’s just not fair. They should stop now’, as though arithmetical aggregates are the only metric to be considered. The implication reaffirms the Western compulsion to only ever live in the material moment. There is no yesterday. There is no tomorrow.
I won’t go into the obvious conflation of Israel with ‘the Jews’, or ‘Hamas’ with Muslims. It’s obvious when Israel has a 20% Muslim Arab population as citizens (who are subject to draft into the IDF from age 18, to fight Hamas as well, btw), while Gaza has zero Jews, who the ethno-statists are. Just ask all the Arab nations what happened to their Jews? Or the silly use of the word ‘indigenous people’ by Leftist terror apologists. Or the totally racist bigotry of the Left that excuses the murder and rape of civilians by Hamas soldiers (yes, Hamas is a government. Not ‘a fringe group of gunmen’, or a militia minority.). You see, when brown Muslims on the losing side of an argument target civilians and break the Geneva conventions by using kidnap victims and hospitals as human shields, that’s not a war crime. Their hand was forced by complex geopolitics. The Jews on the other hand should know better.
Being lectured on what constitutes a war crime by people who have never read the Geneva Conventions is excruciating. But, what else should we expect? These are the same mob who didn’t bother to read the Nuremberg Code before insist that Covid was so unique, that you really should dispense with informed consent, and make unnecessary and experimental medical procedures mandatory under threat of exclusion from society.
George Carlin said it best when he pointed out that: ‘If Crime Fighters fight crime, and Fire Fighters fight fire, what does that tell you about Freedom Fighters’?
Like the beginning of Covid lockdowns, it didn’t matter that there were mountains of data and competing facts readily showing us that lockdowns, masking and Jabs would be ineffective. There were too many competing facts being represented in the media, so most people’s brains became paralysed with cognitive dissonance. This led them to make their decisions based entirely on social cues, above any other reason.
The largest group of people who remained unvaccinated by the clot shot (again, gene therapies now quietly ‘unapproved’ by CDC/FDA), were self-employed tradesmen. Practical people who conduct real-world risk assessments routinely, in an empirical fashion, who were able to continue their essential work, and couldn’t be threatened with the loss of their ‘self-employed’ status like an employee could.
I wore a mask for the first 2 weeks because the British government were advising against masks, calling them ‘ineffective at stopping viral particles, and in danger of giving a false sense of security’. Later on, in the SUMMER after the first lockdowns, the persuasion wonks got involved and masks became mandatory because they instilled a general sense of fear that would encourage people to believe they were still in a Pandemic. Those were the government’s own words, not mine.
Jonathan Pageau, speaking from a religious symbolism perspective, pointed out at the time that this was not science, but ritual. The parallels between washing one’s hands with sanitiser conspicuously whenever entering a public space was akin to washing with Holy water upon entering a sacred space. The masking was acting as a sacred veil, and an outward communication of social conformity more than anything scientific.
Jeffrey Tucker writes an excellent piece at The Brownstone Institute about how we’ve moved into a new world of Flagellantism. Everything from Trump to Russia, to Capitalism, to Climate Change, to the sadness of Transgender people, to Whiteness became viewed as a virus that required public self-flagellation to drive out the punishing judgement of Gaia. The progress has gone out from progressivism, as we no longer even bother to declare that we are in recession, lest we give the false impression that we are ever supposed to recover from this contraction.
The same media who portrayed drug-addicted criminals like George Floyd as literal gods among men, beyond the perfection of mere saints, are now telling us that Israel is committing war crimes and that the far right is to blame for violence between Hamas supporters and the Met Police.
Jewish and Arab Israelis, as well as Western Europeans and Americans, should ‘know better’ than to allow the collateral killing of civilians in war. But those poor Hamas terrorists couldn’t ‘just say no’ or protest their orders because they are an oppressed indigenous minority. Their hands were forced by colonialism and capitalism. Their position on the socio-economic ladder absolves them of all moral responsibility, as we should know by now after years of people in the US and UK being allowed to destroy public property and private businesses, so long as their skin contains sufficient melanin.
The covid lockdowns and the masks performed the same function as a Muslim woman’s hijab or niqab, for many people. Yes, they were painful things to be endured. That was the purpose. It makes you feel separate and disconnected from the world. The Orthodox Bible doesn’t say that we are made in the image of God, it says that we are the Icons of God on earth. When we look people in the eyes and encounter their face, we are called to remember that the creator of everything created this person too, and that thing that unites all human beings is what gives each of us an equal right to exist. That is why it was necessary to remove people’s faces from public view by force of state mandate.
Iconoclasm was necessary before the dissolution of the old world and moving into the new world.
Remember that the lockdowns and ‘social-distancing’ were suspended in the end to permit Antifa riots and BLM ‘mostly-peaceful’ protests. There were still masks, but now communion was permitted. Masses of people bending the knee, and even policemen prostrating themselves and begging the mob for absolution. They called for communism. They tore down statues and replaced national flags with communist banners. They attacked the Cenotaph in the name of decolonisation.
How many more pride flags, Ukraine flags, Antifa flags and now Palestinian or Israeli flags have you seen in the past 4 years, compared to your own national flag? I’ll bet if you’re in Europe, and not in the military, you’ve probably seen a ten-to-one ratio of outsiders over the home team.
It’s not such a problem in small town America, where society still has central values of family, country and God to keep them intact. What is clear in the Gaza-Israel narrative is that ‘The West’ no longer has any uniting story that allows us to cohere. Openness is our only value. Our idea of progress is having all the gays, the gay killers, and the Jews, and the Jew-haters, and the Muslims, and the Skinheads, and all the colours of the rainbow living together on welfare. The one thing that used to unite the disparate tribes of the world was commerce, but this too has been forbidden as an unacceptably white (sorry, White) and colonialist solution. Obviously, dissolution is the only possibly outcome of the logic of this guiding principle, be it intentional or not.
It is getting rather funny now, though. You know we’re in clown world end times when the socialists and the Islamic statists are decrying colonialism as evil on the streets of London when the stated goal of each group is total global domination and human ownership. You couldn’t make it up.
The open-mindedness of our open society has enshrined ‘tolerance’ as the highest virtue. The religiosity of this virtue is made evident by the creeping totalitarian measures to enforce ‘tolerance’ in the hearts and minds of our citizenry. It begins by replacing school assemblies with ‘Diwali awareness’ projects. It ends with arresting people for thinking the wrong thing, too close to an abortion clinic.
What scares me is not far left, or far-right narratives in themselves. What scares me is the incredulity of our age has grown so broad and so cynical, that Hamas leaders can openly brag in the New York Times that they don’t care about water or power, or the lives of their people. That they are happy to ‘martyr’ their children to defeat the Zionist Empire, not because they are in favour of no empire, but because they want a global Islamic caliphate, where Jews and Christians will be forced to convert by the sword or serve as slaves for all eternity, and nobody believes them. The BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, and the rest just run cover for them, because in truth, the global Left has the same goal.
Marx said that the goal of communism was nothing less than the abolition of private property, which included self-ownership. The ‘economy’ has been a political euphemism for the control of all human behaviour ever since. Lenin pointed out that the goal of Socialism was communism. And the head of Isis instructed all Muslims living in the West to vote for Left-wing parties whenever they could, because they “share the same goal”.
We don’t speak any more of war. Armed conflict, clashes, strikes, unrest, regime change, etc. Since 11.09.2001 we’ve become used to every variation of euphemism to disguise the fact that our nation states have been busily bankrupting us all in an attempt to bleed the western middle classes dry, and affirm the existence of corrupt entities like the UN and NATO. The never-ending forever war in the middle east is what reifies and affirms the existence of the state. It’s what silences all conversations that ask ‘what’s in it for me? Why are you making me pay tax, if you can just print money? Why are you bombing the world, and then inviting all the victims of war to come live next door to me on welfare?’
The war on terror. The war on hurricanes. The war on climate change. The war on hate. We’re so used to it all now, that nobody even notices that the Biden crime syndicate is openly funding both sides of this conflict to the tune of billions, which he’s paying for with debt bondage. They don’t even have to hide it anymore.
The use of that Germanic word, war, is appropriate in these cases. The Germanic version retained the Proto-Indo-European implication of the word which means ‘to bring into confusion’. The Latinate Bellum tended to merge with Bello, reflecting a pagan sense of beautiful heroic struggle in a romanticising sense. They wouldn’t want you to think there will be any finality or victory on these issues. Victory is no longer the purpose of warfare. It merely exists in self-perpetuation.
That’s why Israel can never be allowed to defeat Hamas or Egypt be allowed to incorporate Gaza. Then the despicable people at the UNRWC who are blocking Gazan civilians fleeing to the Rafa crossing and forcing them back to be martyred by Jewish bombs on Al Jazeera cameras would have to go and learn a trade or get a real job. People would no longer be able to make a living by pretending that a 75-year-old city with thousands of buildings should still be called a ‘refugee camp’. Or by calling it genocide in an open-air concentration camp, when the Gazan population increases fourfold.
That’s also why they have to live in the moment. If you notice that when Britain defeated the Ottoman empire in Jerusalem, there were only 700,000 people in the whole of Palestine, you’re a problem. If you notice that the Christians from the Eastern Roman Empire that ruled the Holy Land for 300 years were all dead and gone, that’s a problem. When you notice that Jews were not allowed to own land under the Ottomans, or that Hitler got his idea for the Yellow Star badge from the second caliphate making Jews wear that in the Holy land, you’re a problem. Or if you notice that under the genocide of Israeli Jews, the Arab Muslim population has increased from 700,000 to 7 million (2 million in Gaza, 2 million in Israel, and 3 million in the West Bank), you’re a problem.
‘Well, we meant ‘ethnic cleansing’ in the sense of being forced from your home’, comes the narrative argument. Sorry, but how can 7 million people be forced from 700,000 homes? How can it be ethnic cleansing if there are more Arab Muslims in Israel than there were under the Ottomans or the British? How can it be genocide if the Israelis could bomb Gaza out of existence tomorrow, but have thus far restrained themselves from doing so?
It doesn’t matter that the global left used to be on the side of Israeli Jews, after the 1929 Hebron massacre, and the Jewish ethnic cleansing in Russia and Europe. They switched to supporting the PLO after the Soviets started backing the Arab League. It was KGB officers who introduced the Islamic Statists to hostage-taking on airliners. The truth is, it’s gone beyond proxy wars and Petro-dollar collapse for the Left now. And there is no Right any more, in any reasonable sense.
The reason this story is being promoted at full volume in the media, when nobody cares about the wholesale slaughter of Palestinian refugees in Syria over the past decade, is because this story is a win-win for totalitarianism in the Western mind.
This issue perpetuates the new religious rituals of the Internet Age. Sacrificing time and money to attend protest marches brings the euphoria of group communion and the thrill of combat to the consumer classes. It signals virtue. It brings social status. It gets you social media points. It feeds your spiritual need to ‘do good’ with cheap attendance, and very little in the way of actually helping anything so messy as a real individual human being.
The worship of concepts is idolatry. Placing the UN, or the nation-state at the centre of the protest ritual keeps these abstract and artificial concepts at the centre of our attention, and implies that they are the highest thing to be attended to. They are the entities that can make us happy and good, or unhappy and evil. They need to be attended to. Fed. Clothed.
If you accept the side of Israel, then yes, you are accepting the existence and legitimacy of the concept of modern nation-states. You are accepting the system of international law ushered in by Masonic, Zionist, British and American empires. You are supporting the status quo of an immoral world.
But if you accept the side of Hamas or the UN, you are not accepting anything that amounts to less violence. Those tunnels took 20 years of UN and American Foreign Aid budgets to produce. The place where 230 hostages, including 10 US citizens are being held underground below civilian ‘martyrs’ was not built by accident. This has been planned for decades.
Calling for a ‘cease-fire’ implies only one of two outcomes:
1. The founding of a UN standing army capable of subduing the US military. This also legitimises the concept of ‘truth by consensus’ that is championed by the collectivists. The UN is a ‘majority-rules’ democracy. Its human rights council is populated by vicious dictatorships. You don’t have to think too many steps ahead to see where this leads.
2. Perpetuation of the status quo. Unlimited UN legitimacy to be involved with the only group of ‘refugees’ that have ever been afforded that status across multiple generations.
The people of Gaza may be holding innocent hostages. But their entire nation is being held hostage by Arab countries, the UN, and the Military Industrial Complex.
Grieving Jewish Israeli mothers may be in the driving seat this week. But this road only goes one way. There will be no peace, so long as we accept tribalism, or the power of governments to extract wealth from their populations without their consent over what that money goes to fund. No nation-state, terror group, or UN body is fighting toward that end, believe me.
As always, we’ve been here before. The human heart, after all, has been called the factory of idols. Judas, the purse-keeping penny pincher, was the original Marxist materialist bureaucrat in our traditional cultural mind.
In Christ, we learned that martyrdom should be voluntary. But the world of informed consent is long behind us.
When Pilate found Jesus Christ not guilty, he offered to release him. The political establishment among the rabbis didn’t want the dissident released. He was too destabilising. His teaching, while not a crime, marked the end of their fiefdom.
The choice was given to release Jesus Barrabas or Jesus Christ. Barrabas also means, ‘the son of the father’. One of these sons was a political activist, a known thief and a murderer. The other, a teacher who healed the sick, and spoke of giving your heart and attention not to a kingdom on this earth, but to a different kind of kingdom. Barrabas was called a ‘freedom fighter’ too, and is, ironically, held by many Jews today to represent what they believe was the true character of the historical Jesus.
Of course, the mob chose to release the earthly activist ‘son of the father’ and punish Christ, who was the ‘anointed son of the father in heaven’.
I have heard an Islamic Sheikh (on UK Column) teach that the decision not to acknowledge the ministry of Jesus was punished by God, by the scattering of the Jewish people throughout the world. Their persecution in foreign lands beings their eternal punishment from God. The view of some people is that the Jews get what they deserve, and they always will, either for not being Christian, or not being Muslim.
Well, I don’t think second-temple Jews had any monopoly on making mistakes that invoke the wrath of God. The enduring applicable lesson for me is clear. Choosing the path of rebellious political idolatry over inner, personal and cultural transformation will lead to ruin.
Our society is dead. We have seen economic fascism and global governance that bypasses national democracy by treaty permanently enshrined by the WHO Pandemic Treaty. As Pfizer fraud is increasingly proven in the courts, no punishment is brought. The propaganda of the flagellants has worked. We are defeated. The only stories and values that have ever worked to unite us, are now classed as hate speech, while people who call for genocide in the streets are protected by the police.
If you are sitting there smugly thinking, ‘yep. You’d better not take any sides in this one. It’s an unwinnable sh*t show over there. Everyone is wrong, and they love their funny hats and imaginary friends more than life itself. Western secular progressivist democracy is being proven right daily by religious war in the middle east’, before going back to your vasectomies and your pegging porn, then you too are part of the problem.
If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.
The power of both Islam and Judaism, is that these cultures hold onto their history. They actually teach it to their children, and those people live their entire lives within an intergenerational story that goes back 8,000 years. And what does our enlightened world of political progressivism and protest get us? What have we produced that will endure? ‘Bake Off, and an epidemic of autogynephilia?
Let it end.
